First: www.MayaComic.com is down since two days because of some server problems. I hope it will be up and running again soon! Regarding www.ChrisNoeth.com I’m sorry for not updating for the last months but I was very busy working on a cool new game. I’m looking forward to the next weeks when I can tell you more about it! So… what else is going on… you can read a new online interview over at www.Investcomics.com in their series 10 For The Pros™ and FINALLY you can preorder my comic Trade Paperback It Came From Beneath The Sea… Again! at Amazon.com.
The book is also available at Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.de. By preordering it now you can save a lot of money btw! The book will be out in November 2010.
Read the interview to find out more about my game work, my creator-owned comicseries MAYA and my upcoming comic trade from Bluewater.

A huge THANK YOU! to Hermkes Romanboutique and everyone who made this day so amazing! For everyone else who wasn’t there last Saturday, here is your chance to get an impression how AWESOME the event was… Click here to see the pics!

For all German fans of Maya: I will be signing on May 8, 2010 at
Hermkes Romanboutique in Wuerzburg. Wohoo… take a look at the Shop Window… and you will see a page from Maya there. Wow! Can’t wait for the event!
This is the first German ‘Free Comic Book Day‘ and HERE! you can see a list of all free comics you can get on this weekend in May! Your chance to grab some free stuff and a sketch of Maya
. The guy’s at Hermkes Romanboutique have printed a special booklet about the guest artists and it contains a page of Maya and a white page where I can sign it and draw a little sketch. So you don’t need to bring your sketchbooks to the event. But if there is enough time I will sketch in sketchbooks too of course… and I’m signing everything I have worked on, like for example my Tales From The Crypt comics and Maddrax covers if you want. Here you can see the location of Hermkes Romanboutique. Best comic shop in the world btw!

Broken Frontier is running a new interview with me on their site. You can check it out by clicking the post image above or by following this link: ‘Interview at www.BrokenFrontier.com‘.

I didn’t update this site for a long time because every free minute I had went into ‘www.MayaComic.com‘ the site of my creator-owned comic series MAYA. A story about a young girl with superpowers.
To reach as many readers for my comic as possible I now have started a competition where you can win comic trade paperbacks of your choice. All you have to do is help promote Maya by using the ‘Maya banners or the press-kit‘. More information about the competition you can find ‘at the Maya blog‘.
Finally! My creator-owned comic MAYA is online. You now can start following MAYA over at the official webcomic site at ‘www.MayaComic.com‘.
With the comic I have released the first part of my new art column about creating comics featuring the Making Of Maya at ‘www.Investcomics.com‘. In my new column you will find a video on how I created one of the characters for MAYA. On the vimeo site you also can download a High Definition version of this video.
I really would appreciate if you could help spread the word about my new creator owned series MAYA because I publish it online for free and want to reach as many readers as possible. On the webcomic site you can write comments or send me feedback via the contact form in the top menu bar. There you will find a lot of MAYA related stuff like wallpapers, sketches and so on. Now have fun and tell everyone MAYA has arrived
… for this you can use the ‘MAYA promo-kit‘ btw. It contains high res artwork and banners in different sizes.

There is a new press release about my upcoming webcomic MAYA online over at www.ComicRelated.com. If you want to help spread the word about my upcoming comic series MAYA you can download a MAYA promo-kit. It contains the promo cover image and different sized banners you can use on your website, your blog or as a signature in your posts at comic related forums.

… of course I am talking about the classic Star Wars movies! As you know I only post about my work on this blog but today I am talking about someone else’s work because his work was the main influence for me to become an artist. I grew up with his movies and his stories and I love everything he’s ever created. I’m talking about James Cameron, the man behind the first two Terminator movies, ALIENS, The Abyss, True Lies and of course Titanic. Today the trailer for his new movie AVATAR, an epic science fiction jungle adventure love story, was released. I’m waiting for this movie for over ten years now, since the day I first read Jim’s scriptment to AVATAR. I always hoped he would do this movie and finally he did! Right now I feel like it’s Christmas… hehe. So what are you waiting for… click on the post image and watch for yourself what kind of magic James Cameron will bring to the big (3D) screen on December 18.
… and don’t forget to check out the James Cameron influenced work by me which will also be out in December… www.MayaComic.com

What do I want? The answer: I want to reach as many readers as possible with my creator owned comic series MAYA. How can I do this? The answer: By publishing it for free as a webcomic. And that’s exactly what I am doing… I will publish my creator owned series MAYA as a webcomic starting in December 2009 at www.MayaComic.com! You already can join the ‘MAYA fansite on facebook‘ and if you want you can buy shirts with the MAYA logo in the ‘MAYA spreadshirt shop‘
.
And to start the series with a BANG I will start the ‘Name the Letter-page‘ competition. It is your chance to name the letter-page of the new webcomic and win a MAYA shirt and an original MAYA sketch (after your idea). All you have to do is to take a look at the ‘MAYA concept art thread at Conceptart.org‘ get inspired by the art, glimpsing some story elements and come up with an original name for the MAYA letter-page. You can send me your suggestions using the ‘CONTACT Form‘. One final note: I really would appreciate if you could help spread the word about the webcomic because I want to reach as many readers as possible for the series. Thank you! Feedback welcome.

A new issue of ‘Making Games‘ is out. In this issue you will find my last workshop from the ‘BadAss Rabbit’ series. This time it’s about animation and you can watch a testanimation of the character here: Click to see the final animated BadAss Rabbit testanimation!.
Feel free to send me feedback about the workshops and let me know what kind of workshop you want to see in the future. To send me feedback you can use the ‘Contact Form‘ from the top menu of this site.

I have finished the first sequential pages of issue #1 and sent out the pitch. I will continue working on the sequentials in my spare time. Because I can’t show any of the artwork from the book yet I will try to do some more concept art in between. By clicking on the image header above you will get to my conceptart.org MAYA thread where I am posting all MakingOf related artwork and news. I have finished the story for the first story arc (three issues) and as you know I am doing all the art myself. The lettering however will be done by a professional letterer because I don’t want to spend too much time with Illustrator and lettering. A seasoned lettering professional will do the lettering and I will concentrate on the art and story 100%. The series will not be published by Bluewater Productions. I already had a ‘GO’ from the company because I have worked on two Ray Harryhausen Presents books, pitch art, concept designs and covers for Bluewater. But with all the political and biographical books they are doing right now Bluewater is not the right place for MAYA. I want MAYA to be published beside some of my favorite books
. So wish me luck everything will work out in the end and if you have some time please check out the conceptart.org thread and let me know what you think so far. To help promote the series already you can share this information by using the new ‘Share This’ button at the end of this thread. Thank you for your interest and your help!

A new issue of MakingGames is out. It contains the 2D/3D texturing workshop for my BadAss Rabbit 3D model. You can get a first impression on the new workshop here: Click to see the final textured BadAss Rabbit! I’m happy this issue made it out before Gamescom 2009 so you have something good to read on the train… hehe.
Regarding my game work the team at Rough Sea Games is still working hard on our new game and you should take a look at our official blog at http://blog.rough-sea.com/ to find out more about our game when the time is right.
And finally a small update on my creator owned comic project MAYA which I’m developing in my spare time: All German readers now will find more information about MAYA in a thread over at the Comicforum where you can take a look at the first concept art also: MAYA concept art thread (Comicforum). Oh… and I have started to work on the first sequentials a few days ago… and it is a lot of fun!

Finally it is time for MAYA. I have started an official thread over at Millarworld.tv where I will show concept art and making of stuff from the series. If you are interested in creating comics you should check it out. If you like my art and looking forward to my creator owned work this is the place to bookmark…

The new issue of MakingGames is out. It contains my 3D modeling workshop to my BadAss Rabbit concept art from last issue.
And who’s interested: I did some new online interviews. The first one is already online and you can find it here: ‘Cyclone Interview‘. A big thanks to Cyclone for the interview!
